About JJS

Who we are:  Jan Jagran Sansthan (JJS), was initiated in the year 1980 as a local non-governmental organization to strengthen women and child protection by adopting strong values implementation science in Bihar. Due to its demonstrated capacities to transform the population living in marginalized and vulnerable situations; within a decade, JSS was known as state level institution in Bihar, and further in few years it had increased its reach to Jharkhand, Haryana,  Chhattisgarh and New Delhi to focus development of primarily datits, minorities and tribal populations. At present, the organization is also playing pivotal roles in stopping trafficking women and children in the borders of Nepal and Bangladesh.

Jan Jagran Sansthan has believe in SARVODAYA- the Gandhian cogitation that envisages a peaceful, equitable & a just society where in every resident irrespective of caste, creed, language & religion reside in peace & communal harmony. JJS visualizes a commune where the poor, the marginalized and the underprivileged section have equity in the process of sustainable development and encompasses a confiscated environment in their fullest potential. The continued growth of Jan Jagran Sansthan over three decades are the indications of its acceptability and relevance. It’s ability to nalyse and respond to changing socio-economic and political realities in its struggle with the poor and marginalized such as Mahadalits, dalits and tribal populations for their emancipation and empowerment have stood in good space.
